Definition
A client portal is an application your clients access with a login, where they check the progress of their files, upload documents, exchange messages and, when the profession allows it, sign and pay online. It is connected to your internal tools: what the client sees comes from your system, with no re-entry.
It differs from a brochure website through authentication and partitioning: each client only sees their own files, and every access is logged.
Why it matters to a business owner
In many organisations, a large share of incoming calls comes down to “where is my file?”. The portal answers that question without tying up the team, and documents arrive in the right format, in the right place, instead of being sent back by email in duplicate.
The portal also affects your image: your clients compare your follow-up with their bank's, and they say so.
What Stratedge Consulting does
The agency first maps the client journey so that only what your clients already look for goes online, then builds the portal in your brand: tracking, documents, messages, guided document upload with automatic reminders, online signature and payment when your profession allows it. See the Client portals page.
A first usable scope starts at €6,000 excl. VAT as a Sprint, depending on the journeys covered and the connections needed. The technical foundation is the one the agency uses for regulated professions: access per file, logging, hosting in Europe. Stratedge OS Team subscribers get client spaces included in the plan.
Common mistakes
Putting online features clients have not asked for. Tracking and documents are enough to start; the rest waits for usage.
Building the portal without connecting it to the back office. A portal fed by hand becomes one more burden for the team, and the information displayed ends up wrong.
